They have felt tops, foam bottoms and of course the pressure relief areas at the shoulders. They have only been on a horse a few times, at 31" they are just a bit too long for my short backed horse.

I was still getting some dry spots behind the withers with it though and bought the Clinton Anderson PRS (pressure relief system) saddle pad in wool.
