WebJan 26, 2010 · When you replace the needle and seat, pull the bowl off and turn it upside down, when the level is correct, a 1/2" drill bit should "just" fit between the top of the float and the top of the bowl, and "look" perfectly level. My preferred method is to use Time-Serts. I find that in this small size (4mm), Time-Serts are superior to Heli-Coils or similar methods.

The problem I have is fuel is leaking from the secondary throttle shaft after I shut off the engine. It is leaking on the non-linkage side of the carb. WebNov 21, 2009 · Sometimes a new carb or fresh rebuild will hang open, often a whack on the adjusting screw with a screw driver handle will resolve it. Common problem. WebNov 25, 2012 · The check valve is in the accelerator pump nozzle. If you have never done this before, REMOVE THE CARB, and then take out the large screw in the centre of the primaries. Below it is the little check valve (or a ball sometimes). If it will not come out, you may have to coax it with some cleaner.
