If the parts you are planning to powder coat are small, you can start with a very basic kit: a gun, a power source, and a toaster oven. WebbThe rack is then moved into an oven, and it's exposed to heat (usually about 150 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit). The powder coating is then baked on the parts. The oven described in this article is a convection oven. It uses a heater that heats the powder coating to about 250 degrees Fahrenheit, sufficient for most powder coating jobs.
